The Tokyo Anime Awards started in 2002, but was named in 2005. The first, second and third award ceremonies were simply named 'Competition'. The award ceremonies were held at the Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) until 2013. In 2014, after the merger of the Tokyo International Anime Fair with the Anime Contents Expo and the formation of the AnimeJapan convention, the Tokyo Anime Awards was changed into a separate festival called Tokyo Anime Awards Festival (TAAF). The "Scotland Loves Anime" film festival takes place annually in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was started in 2010 and includes the "Golden Partridge" jury award and audience-voted awards. Denpa as a genre usually refers to Japanese artistic works with themes associated with social isolation, existentialism, insanity that stems from living modern society, and the glorification of otaku/outsider cultures. Examples of denpa in other mediums include the films of Hideaki Anno (Love and Pop, Ritual) and the films of Shunji Iwai (All About Lily Chou-Chou), as well as the visual novel Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-hole. A comprehensive watch order of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, which includes every entry of the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise. These list is for those who wants to watch some phychological anime(i included only those who has also some Dark Elements). One of my most favorite scenarios: Retro futurism plus Cyberpunk; anime popular and commonly discussed among those who are teenagers and young in the 2020s, born around 1997-2012 Anime with great soundtrack (OP and ED not considered) from my watchlist. In this list are all the anime movies that have been released in Mexican theaters in the year 2022. You can find information on when they were exhibited, in which chain, classification, if they were dubbed or left in their original language, distributor and release date. v(^^)v The Konnichiwa Festival is a Mexican distributor dedicated to distributing anime films, and sometimes Live Action, in theaters in Mexico and Latin America. It is a distributor that I really like and, whenever I have the opportunity, I take the time to go see the films that they distribute in theaters. Sometimes they dub their films into Latin Spanish, but most of the time they are shown with subtitles, unless they are very accessible films (Your Name, A Silent Voice, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Mirai). There used to be a trend back in the day to retell anime tv series into movies. These movies were complete remakes like "Macross: Do You Remember Love?" which essentially rearranged the core pieces of their shows to make a more condensed 2 hour experience. I've always thought these films were interesting because we get 2 versions of the same story, so I thought I'd make a list of them. These series / movies are great to start with and don't require a lot of effort, like saying chill (ok maybe for evangelion no but ssshhh), they are divinely animated works. Anime series and movies that Fujimoto Tatsuki (Chainsaw Man author) mentioned in the Magazine Switch. Could be taken as recommendations. |
